Terms & Conditions

The terms on which Pushkar Tours designs, books and manages your travel.

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern the use of the services and website of Pushkar Tours ("we", "us", "our"), a personalized travel design company based in Dahisar East, Mumbai, India. By enquiring with us, confirming a booking, or using this website, you ("the traveller", "you") agree to these Terms.

1. Our services

Pushkar Tours designs customized travel itineraries and arranges related services — accommodation, transport, sightseeing, experiences and travel assistance — for travel within India and internationally. In doing so, we act as an intermediary between you and third-party service providers such as hotels, airlines, railways, transport operators and local experience partners ("suppliers"). Each supplier's own terms and conditions also apply to the services they deliver.

2. Quotations and bookings

  • Every itinerary is prepared individually. Quotations are based on prevailing rates and availability, and remain subject to change until your booking is confirmed.
  • A booking is confirmed only when we receive the advance payment communicated to you and issue a written confirmation (including by WhatsApp or email).
  • Traveller names must exactly match government-issued photo ID (and passports for international travel). We are not responsible for costs arising from mismatched or incorrect details supplied to us.

3. Prices and payments

  • Prices are quoted in Indian Rupees unless stated otherwise, and are inclusive or exclusive of taxes as specified in your quotation. GST and other government levies apply as per Indian law.
  • The payment schedule (advance and balance) is communicated in writing for each booking. Failure to pay the balance by the communicated date may result in cancellation of the booking as per the applicable cancellation terms.
  • Payments are acknowledged by written receipt. Please retain your payment confirmations.

4. Cancellations, amendments and refunds

  • Cancellation terms vary by tour type, season, suppliers involved and the notice given. The terms applicable to your booking are always communicated in writing before you confirm.
  • Cancellation charges reflect amounts already committed to or retained by suppliers (for example non-refundable hotel rooms, airline fares or permits), plus any service charges communicated to you.
  • Where a refund is due, it is processed to the original payment method within a reasonable period after the suppliers concerned have settled their portion.
  • If you request changes to a confirmed booking, we make reasonable efforts to accommodate them, subject to availability and any difference in cost.
  • In the rare event that we must cancel a confirmed booking, we will offer a suitable alternative or refund the amounts paid to us, less any components that suppliers do not return. We are not liable for costs you incur independently (such as separately booked flights) unless they were booked through us.

5. Travel documents and requirements

  • You are responsible for holding valid travel documents: government photo ID for domestic travel, and a valid passport, visas and any required permits or vaccination certificates for international travel.
  • We assist with visa guidance and documentation checklists, but the grant of a visa is at the sole discretion of the relevant authorities, and the final responsibility for documents rests with you.

6. Health and fitness to travel

Please tell us about medical conditions, mobility needs, or dietary requirements at the planning stage so we can design your trip accordingly. Certain journeys — high-altitude destinations such as Ladakh, or pilgrimages such as the Char Dham Yatra — require a reasonable level of fitness, and you travel on such itineraries at your own responsibility. We recommend consulting your doctor before high-altitude or physically demanding travel.

7. Responsibility and limitation of liability

  • We select suppliers with care, but we do not own or operate airlines, hotels or transport services. We are not liable for the acts, omissions or defaults of suppliers, or for loss, injury, delay or inconvenience arising from services they deliver.
  • Our total liability for any claim connected to a booking is limited to the amounts you paid to us for the affected services.
  • We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for baggage, valuables and personal belongings during travel.

8. Force majeure

Events beyond reasonable control — including weather, landslides, floods, strikes, civil disturbance, epidemics, or government orders and advisories — may require itineraries to be changed, rerouted or cancelled at short notice. In such situations we prioritise your safety, assist with alternatives, and pass on refunds to the extent suppliers provide them. Additional costs arising from force majeure events are borne by the traveller.

9. Travel insurance

We strongly recommend comprehensive travel insurance for all journeys, and consider it essential for international and high-altitude travel. Obtaining insurance is your responsibility, though we are happy to guide you to suitable options.

10. Traveller conduct

You agree to comply with local laws, customs and the reasonable instructions of guides, drivers and suppliers. We may decline or discontinue services, without refund, to any traveller whose conduct is unlawful or endangers the safety or enjoyment of others.

11. Website content and intellectual property

Content on this website — text, design, the Pushkar Tours name and logo — belongs to Pushkar Tours and may not be reproduced for commercial purposes without our written consent. Itineraries we prepare for you are for your personal use.

12. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms or our services is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Mumbai, Maharashtra.
